The Biggest Mistakes Women Make After They Reach Their Goal
After 13 years of coaching, I've noticed something.
The biggest mistakes happen after women reach their goal.
Level #1: Stopping the Basics
- Stopping strength training. Without it, muscle can gradually decrease, even if the goal was hit
- Going back to old eating habits. Celebrating by returning to what led you away from your goal
Fix:
Keep training 3 to 4 days a week, and keep protein, vegetables, movement, and planned flexibility as your core habits
Level #2: Losing Track
- Stopping self-monitoring — no more weigh-ins, measurements, or checking how clothes fit
- By the time a change is noticed, it's already bigger than it needed to be
Fix:
Check in once a week — small corrections are easier than big ones
Level #3: The Mindset Trap
- Chasing the next extreme diet after one indulgent stretch, instead of just resetting
- Thinking you've finished, when health isn't a finish line
Fix:
- Return to your normal routine at the next meal, and keep treating it as something you continue, not something you complete
- The goal isn't to lose weight once.
- It's to become the person who keeps it off.
