Why Stress Makes Fat Loss Harder
Is it possible to have the perfect fat-loss plan on paper and still watch it fall apart the moment life gets stressful? Here's what's actually happening, and it isn't what most people think.
I broke it down into three things stress changes: first, how you eat. You get hungrier, you snack more, you crave calorie-dense foods, and that 400-calorie deficit you planned can disappear through drinks, snacks, takeout, and bigger portions. Then, how much you move. Your busiest weeks turn 8,000 steps into 4,000 and three workouts into one, and your NEAT drops without you noticing. And finally, how you sleep and recover. Poor sleep hits your hunger, energy, and motivation, so one problem starts feeding the next.
Your metabolism slows. Your behavior changed. And cortisol isn't the enemy either. It's a normal hormone your body needs, so you don't need a supplement that claims to lower it. Track sleep, steps, training, hunger, and unplanned eating for seven days, find the pattern, and fix one thing first.
This whole thing made me realize you don't need to eliminate stress to lose fat. You need a plan that still works when life gets stressful because in a reality its pretty hard to completly remove stress with kids, work and life happening... right ?!
Trust me, if my clients can keep making progress through their busiest weeks, so can you. They are busy moms, wives and professionals.
For the next 7 days, track your sleep, steps, training, hunger, and unplanned eating. Look for the pattern, then fix one thing. This is a cool trick that I got to learn and I'm passing it onto you. During the day write down what you do every 20 mins and find your patterns of positive and negetive and make your adjustments with your new data.
